Organization Description:
With roots dating back to 1814, The BTS Center is a private operating foundation in Portland, Maine, building on the legacy of the former Bangor Theological Seminary. Focused on spiritual leadership for a climate-changed world, today The BTS Center seeks to catalyze spiritual imagination, with enduring wisdom, for transformative faith leadership by offering theologically grounded programs of continuing education and spiritual / vocational formation, including workshops and retreats, learning cohorts, public conversations, and projects of applied research.
Opportunities for Student Involvement:
Field education students will have the opportunity to support and implement unique programming at the intersection of spiritual leadership and climate change. Students will be incorporated into a collaborative program team that meets weekly for planning, learning, and reflection. Opportunities for supporting The BTS Center’s applied research endeavors are also available and encouraged.
Commute/Transportation Information:
Work for this site will be primarily carried out remotely as many of The BTS Center meetings and programs occurs on zoom. Opportunities for in-person engagement will also be made available, and may include staff team luncheons and in-person programs.

Supervision:
