Summary Information:
In 1908 a group of Unitarian ministers and lay persons, under the leadership of Dr. John Haynes Holmes, established the Unitarian Fellowship for Social Justice. After the merger in 1961 of the Unitarians and the Universalists, the name of the group was changed to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for Social Justice. In 1964 the Fellowship was merged into the UUA. These papers then came to the UUA and later to Harvard. Unfortunately, they contain little of the archives of the first years' most of the papers reflect the work and the concerns of the 1950's and the early 1960's.
