Description

A seminar in the philosophic foundations and the best practices of Unitarian Universalist religious education for nurturing multicultural, multigenerational UU congregations and communities. We will examine "RE" as faith development, examine contemporary issues in UU religious education, review curricula and resources currently available, learn and apply new skills, and develop personal philosophies of religious education, The course focuses primarily, but not solely, on the congregational context, addressing the role of ministers in life-span religious education within and beyond the parish. This course or its equivalent is required of all those preparing for ordination to ministry in the Unitarian Universalist Association.
